FAQs

The questions we get asked most often

Quotes, timescales, access, materials and what happens if the weather turns. If your question is not here, just ring and ask.

Do you charge for a quote?

No. We come out, look at the job properly and give you a written quote with no obligation and no follow-up pestering.

How soon can you start?

It depends on the size of the job and the time of year. Small repairs are often within a week or two; full roofline replacements are usually booked a few weeks ahead. We will give you a realistic date, not an optimistic one.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in Bury and regularly work in Bolton, Rochdale, Radcliffe, Whitefield, Prestwich, Ramsbottom and north Manchester. If you are a little outside that, ask, we often travel for the right job.

Do I need scaffolding?

Not always. Many two-storey roofline jobs are done from towers or properly footed ladders. Tall gables, chimney work and full roofs usually need scaffold, and if yours does we include it in the quote rather than adding it later.

What happens if it rains?

We do not open up a roof edge we cannot close again the same day. If the forecast is bad we will move the date and tell you why.

Can you match my neighbour's roofline colour?

Usually yes. White, black, anthracite grey and several woodgrain finishes are all readily available, and we will confirm the exact match before ordering.

Do you take on small jobs?

Yes. A single leaking gutter joint, one slipped tile or a sticking door are all worth a call. Small jobs are how most of our bigger ones start.

How do I pay?

Payment is on completion once you are happy with the work. Larger jobs may involve a materials deposit, which is agreed in writing beforehand.

Is your work guaranteed?

Materials carry their manufacturer's guarantee and we stand behind our workmanship. Exact guarantee terms are confirmed on your written quote.

Will you clear up afterwards?

Always. Old boards, nails, offcuts and packaging leave with us, and we sweep and magnet-sweep the working area before we go.
