Quotes

Quotes are free, given in writing after seeing the job, and valid for 30 days. A quote covers the work described in it. Anything discovered once we open up, rotten rafter feet, for example, is priced separately and agreed with you before we carry on.

Booking and deposits

Most jobs need no deposit. Where materials are made to order we may ask for a materials deposit, which will be stated on the quote.

Payment

The balance is due on completion once you have looked over the work. We accept bank transfer and cash. Late payment may incur interest as allowed by law.

Access and site

We will need reasonable access to the property, including space for a van and, where required, for scaffold or towers. Please move vehicles, garden furniture and anything fragile from the working area before we arrive.

Weather and timescales

Dates are given in good faith. Work at height is weather-dependent and we will not start something we cannot make watertight the same day. If a date moves, we will tell you as early as we can.

Guarantees

Materials carry the manufacturer's guarantee. Our workmanship is guaranteed for the period stated on your quote. Guarantees do not cover storm damage, accidental damage or later alterations by others.

Cancellation

Where a contract is agreed away from our business premises you have the statutory right to cancel within 14 days. If you ask us to start within that period and then cancel, we may charge for work already done and materials already ordered.
